The 2012 CME Medicine of Cycling Conference will be held in Colorado Springs, CO on August 24-26, 2012. This activity is presented by UCSF  Department of Medicine and Medicine of Cycling in collaboration with USA Cycling.

UCSF designated this live activity for a maximum of 18.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits ™.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.  The conference will begin Friday, August 24 with a hand-on Medical Emergencies in Cycling Course (MECC), the Stage 5 finish of the USA Pro Cycling Challenge in Colorado Springs and an evening welcome reception.  On Saturday, August 25 and Sunday, August 26 we will feature presentations, break-out sessions and panel discussions on topics such as: concussion, nutrition, dermatology, cardiology, sports psychology, rehabilitation, bike fit and more.  Our world class faculty includes: Dr. Tim Berger, Dr. Steven Broglio, Dr. Gloria Cohen, Dr. Michael Giudici, Dr. Jeffrey Kutcher, Dr. Claudette Lajam, Monique Ryan, MS, RD and more.  This year’s faculty represents some of the finest academic institutions in America including New York University, UCSF and University of Michigan.  We will also have a presentation from Dr. Matthew Fedoruk of the US Anti-Doping Agency and more special guests.  In addition to conference presentations, we will host a group ride on Saturday afternoon taking participants on a tour of the legendary Garden of the Gods.  Bike rentals are available at Criterium Bicycles- http://criterium.com/. Please call Criterium Bicycles at 719 599 0149 to reserve a bike in advance.  We will also hold a group dinner at Marigold Café and Bakery on Saturday evening.
